"We demand union to protect the rights of employees and other participants and proper Law / Code enforcement to protect the welfare of the general public" - A.J. Drew Welcome to Harveysburg, OH where Peter Carroll employs the local police officers and owns the police station. According to Peter Carroll - "I learned everything I know from Boss Hog of Hazzard County, Georgia" - Peter Carroll
Of course we made up that quote. Boss Hog is a fictional character. But if you read the pages presented here we feel you will agree that Slick Pete and Boss Hog could be kin. Actually, we think Peter Carroll is more kin to Boss Tweed than Boss Hog. We are fairly sure we have uncovered major property tax evasion and we intend to prove it despite the many Republican connections Slick Pete has made in local government. Specifically, an agreement with Harveysburg which transfers nearly a million dollars to the small village of some 563 citizens. How pompous is this Peter Carroll? He prints his own script called "Peter Pounds" and reportedly uses that money to pay employees. He even built a church and titled it "Saint Peter's Church" on the property records. Ah, but neither of these things are illegal. They just go to his character or lack of character. But if you read on and explore this protest website, you will probably agree that the man is the head of a criminal empire. If not, we think you will at a very minimum believe he is the center of a large amount of corruption in an almost entirely Republican county. Important News - Street Cast, Gate Guards, Stunt Show, Actors and other employees of the Ohio Renaissance Festival Inc who have been paid less than $7.00 / hour at any time in the last year may be entitled to compensation for all back pay at a rate of $10.50 / hour. This seems to be $84.00 per day worked minus what ever you were previous paid - Click here for Important information from the State of Ohio.
Introduction We believe the owner of the Ohio Renaissance Festival, Brimstone Limited Partnership and Caesar Creek Lake Estates has unjustly enriched himself with so many unethical and potentially illegal business practices that an immediate investigation is warranted. We further believe that due to the millions of dollars this one man is responsible for directing into the local municipality that traditional reporting methods fall on deaf ears. So who do you turn to when you do not trust the people responsible for equally enforcing the law? We are turning to you. To the good people of this great nation who will not stand for these breeches of civility against the civil liberties of so many people. We are also turning to law enforcement agencies on a state and federal level in the hopes that someone outside of Slick Pete's financial resources will take notice.
What we believe are the Mafioso tactics of Peter Carroll and this Ohio incorporation will end now. Welcome to the "chivalrous" protest of the Ohio Renaissance FestivalChivalry - "the sum of the ideal qualifications of a knight, including courtesy, generosity, valor, and dexterity in arms." (1)The chivalrous protest of the Ohio Renaissance Festival was created because sometimes it becomes necessary to do the right thing. Although the Ohio Renaissance Festival is a privately held company, we believe the citizens of the United States of America have established certain standards of civility for any incorporation doing business within its realm. We believe Peter Carroll, owner of the Ohio Renaissance Festival Inc. has violated those standards of civility. We believe the staff and management of the Ohio Renaissance Festival Inc. has done much the same. We believe that like stopping a highway man in his tracks, forcing these people to account and be accountable for their actions and inactions is the chivalrous thing to do.
Is it legal for ORF Inc. to do this to our air? If the government will not do anything about this, we the people will: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." - The First Amendment May the Creator and the God of Nature, as spoken about in the Constitution of this great nation, prevail over this combat and strengthen the arms of the righteous such that it can slay evil now and for ever more. As it was in days of olde, we believe this will be done and evil will once again be vanquished from our kingdom.
