Ohio Fire Code
Rule 10 – Means of Egress
F B Section 1006 – Means of Egress Illumination

To the best of my knowledge, there is no effort to insure egress / exits are illuminated in any of 150 – 200 permanent structures at the Ohio Renaissance Festival. While this might seem like a strange complaint against a festival which is only open during the daylight hours, we must remember many, many people sleep in these buildings and many of these buildings have two stories. An effort should be made to illuminate the stairs of two story buildings at a very minimum.

I B Section 1009 - Stairs

Various stairs do not appear to be a minimum of 3 feet wide.

L B 1012 – Hand Rails
Hand rails on stairs leading to many second story buildings are rectangular and do not seem to be within specifications listed in section 1012 of rule 10.
